> Bowl Game 8 of 35
Little Caesars Pizza Bowl - Detroit, MI - Ford Field
December 26, 2010 7:30 PM
FIU 34, Toledo 32

What I learned after this game... If you attended the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, you could not get a Little Caesars Pizza inside the stadium. Ford Field has a contract with a different pizza joint. Also, I was thinking, a "Pizza Bowl" sounds pretty good. Someone needs to get on that.

What I drank during this game... Independence Brewing Company's Stash IPA (Double IPA) and Independence Convict Hill (Imperial Oatmeal Stout). If you aren't drinking these beers, we can't be friends.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... We're getting blitzed folks. BlitzKrieg (RK) still holds the lead (149) and now also controls his own destiny.

> Bowl Game 9 of 35
Independence Bowl - Shreveport, LA - Independence Stadium
December 27, 2010 4:00 PM
Air Force 14, Georgia Tech 7

What I learned after this game... Apparently option attack doesn't necessarily translate into a prolific offense. Oh yes, and also the Air Force Falcon flew away during the game!! Sure, he came back before it was over, but where the heck did he go? #gambling

What I drank during this game... An educated guess. No seriously, I took a picture.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... For the 6th straight bowl game, BlitzKrieg (RK) is leading the pack. He still controls his own destiny as well.

> Bowl Game 10 of 35
Champs Sports Bowl - Orlando, FL - Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium
December 28, 2010 6:30 PM
#22 West Virginia 7, North Carolina St. 23

What I learned after this game... The Kids Are All Right is a really good movie. Let's be clear, there is a lot of sex in this movie. Girl on Girl, Vibrator on Girl, Guy on Guy (on DVD), and Guy on Girl... but it's also a really good movie. What?

What I drank during this game... Erath 2008 Pinot Noir. An Oregon wine. Screw top. I recommend it... and I took a picture.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... For the 7th straight bowl game, BlitzKrieg (RK) blah blah he's awesome blah blah no seriously awesome.

> Bowl Game 11 of 35
Insight Bowl - Tempe, AZ - Sun Devil Stadium
December 28, 2010 9:00 PM
#14 Missouri 24, Iowa 27

What I learned after this game... The Big 12 sucks so bad it convinced the media Missouri was #12 worthy.

What I drank during this game... Keeping with the Oregon Willamette Valley theme... Ponzi 2008 Pinot Noir. Also a screw top. Also recommend it... and I took a picture.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... I would like to interrupt this regularly scheduled announcement of BlitzKrieg's (RK) lead for the 8th straight bowl game to let you guys know that 13 National Championships (CG) is now the statistical leader.

> Bowl Game 12 of 35
Military Bowl - Washington D.C. - RFK Memorial Stadium
December 29, 2010 2:30 PM
East Carolina 20, Maryland 51

What I learned after this game... Ralph Friedgen and Mark Mangino are out of a job. There are a ton of coaches available right now.

What I drank during this game... Pre-lubing for the Texas Bowl later this evening, I met the man behind Bevo XIV (DW) at Stag's Head. If you live in Houston and haven't visited this pub, you are missing out (and now you have a homework assignment). I drank a Southern Star Buried Hatchet Stout (Conroe, TX) and an Anchor Steam 2010 Our Special Ale (San Francisco, CA) before we decided to change locations. I want to note here that each of our beers, spanning from Blondes to Stouts, were served at the proper temperature. Next up was BRC Gastropub (BRC stands for Big Red Cock! and now that we have that out of the way...). I've never been, but I've heard the beer selection was great. It was. I ordered a Jester King Black Metal Imperial Stout (Austin, TX). The beer was awesome. However, it's funny that we had we had a conversation about serving temperature at Stag's and my Imperial Stout at BRC came out ice freaking cold... in a frozen pint glass. Folks, you may like ice cold beer, but an ice cold Imperial Stout tastes nothing like a cool Imperial Stout. I loved the beer... 30 minutes later. No pictures, sorry.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... BlitzKrieg's (RK) still has it going on for the 9th straight bowl game with 161 points. 13 National Championships (CG) is still the statistical leader for the 2nd straight bowl game.

> Bowl Game 13 of 35
Texas Bowl - Houston, TX - Reliant Stadium
December 29, 2010 5:00 PM
Illinois 38, Baylor 14

What I learned after this game... Baylor sucks. How did Texas lose to those fkrs?

What I drank during this game... Inside the stadium, you have to take out a small loan to drink. But who can watch Baylor football sober? I took out that loan and used it to purchase a Long Hammer IPA, nachos grande, and those cinnamon coated nuts. I'm sure Long Hammer is a Miller or Bud product (I'm not interested enough to Google it), but at $8.50 for a pint, that gives it a 53 CPRSO (cents per Reliant Stadium ounce). That is pretty high dollar according to Bevo XIV/DW/JR Ewing's blog post exposing inconsistencies in Minute Maid Park beer prices. However, it has probably 150% of the alcohol content of a Bud Light, so it's cents per ABV per ounce is probably a lot better (EDIT: I did the math, it is 8.2 vs Bud Light's 12.6 CPAPO-RS - Cents per AVB per ounce, Reliant Stadium). I took a picture from my seats... missed the beer in the shot.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... What the?! Bevo XIV (DW) is winning now, breaking RK's 9 game streak. CG holds the statistical lead for the 3rd straight game.

> Bowl Game 14 of 35
Armed Forces Bowl - Dallas, TX - Gerald J. Ford Stadium
December 29, 2010 8:15 PM
#16 Oklahoma State 36, Arizona 10

What I learned after this game... Oklahoma State is invincible!! Just wait until next year!! With all the players that they are returning, OSU may win EVERY game next year!! Oh wait, they just played Arizona and they also still have Mike Gundy as a head coach.

What I drank during this game... I may have bailed early on the Baylor game and I may have gone to The Broken Spoke for mussels, frites, and beer and I may have taken a picture.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... If you are Bevo XIV (DW), then you are happy (192 points, 23 point lead). If you are CG and you get all the rest of your picks correct, then you are happier.

> Bowl Game 15 of 35
Armed Forces Bowl - Dallas, TX - Gerald J. Ford Stadium
December 30, 2010 11:00 AM
Army 16, SMU 14

What I learned after this game... Army had not won a bowl game in 24 years. Almost a quarter century. Whoa.

What I drank during this game... I was sans kids, since they were at a sleep-over at their grandparents' after my Texas Bowl extravaganza the day before. We took the opportunity to eat sushi. Sushi restaurants are not exactly kid friendly... I'm just saying. For me, Kirin Ichiban and sake go together like rice and soy sauce. So that's what I did. No picture proof though.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... Army hasn't won a bowl game in 24 years! Despite that, 2 of you picked them, including Cacti3's (DC) 31 point confidence pick for Army. Respect. Because of all the missed picks, DW is still in the lead with 192 points and CG still holds the statistical lead.

> Bowl Game 16 of 35
Pinstripe Bowl - Bronx, NY - Yankee Stadium
December 30, 2010 2:30 PM
Kansas State 34, Syracuse 36

What I learned after this game... You cannot salute after scoring a touchdown... at least in front of Mr. Blowhard Ref. I hope he sleeps pretty fkn bad tonight, @$$hole.

What I drank during this game... Dr. Pepper, which is a delicious spiced cherry beverage. In fact, Dr. Pepper is the most delicious spiced cherry beverage I've ever tasted in my entire life.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... Not much has changed. DW has the lead for the 4th straight bowl game and CG holds the statistical lead for the 6th straight game.

> Bowl Game 17 of 35
Music City Bowl - Nashville, TN - LP Field
December 30, 2010 5:40 PM
North Carolina 30, Tennessee 27 (20T)

What I learned after this game... Double OT in a meaningless bowl game is probably only interesting to fans of the teams playing and gamblers. Sorry purists.

What I drank during this game... Magic Hat #9. "Not so pale ale." Look guys, the secret is out, it is apricots. Own up to it. This is what it looks like when it was finished. If you look closely, there is a little tiny bit in the bottom.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... DW, 204 points, lead for 5th straight game. CG, statistical lead, 7th straight game.

> Bowl Game 18 of 35
Holiday Bowl - San Diego, CA - Qualcomm Stadium
December 30, 2010 9:00 PM
#17 Nebraska 7, Washington 19

What I learned after this game... Sure, I missed the pick, but so did most everyone else. What I found out is that it really makes me happy to watch Nebraska exit the Big XII so miserably. There are some really great people in Nebraska. I'm being serious. Newsflash though, there are good people outside of Nebraska too. Fakest "Best Fans" Ever. I'm glad I got that out.

What I drank during this game... Saint Arnold Christmas Ale. I took a picture too.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... DW, 205 points, lead for 6th straight game. CG AND DW hold the statistical lead, 7th straight game for CG.

> Bowl Game 19 of 35
Meineke Bowl - Charlotte, NC - Bank of America Stadium
December 31, 2010 11:00 AM
South Florida 31, Clemson 26

What I learned after this game... It was more interesting than the ND/Miami game... whatever that means.

What I drank during this game... It is New Year's Eve, yo. It seems like a bad idea to drink during the day.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... DW, 205 points, lead for 7th straight game. CG, statistical lead for 7th straight game.

> Bowl Game 20 of 35
Sun Bowl - El Paso, TX - Sun Bowl
December 31, 2010 1:00 PM
Notre Dame 33, Miami (FL) 17

What I learned after this game... No matter what, this'll always be Catholics vs. Convicts. Sorry Tha U. Speaking of criminals, the "drug war" in Ciudad Juarez has claimed like 3000 lives this year. I  wonder if that was in the Sun Bowl game program.

What I drank during this game... Watering up still.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... DW, 208 points, lead for 8th straight game. WhooDat4Life (Lo) is now the statistical leader.

> Bowl Game 21 of 35
Liberty Bowl - Memphis, TN - Liberty Bowl Memorial
December 31, 2010 2:30 PM
Georgia 6, Central Florida 10

What I learned after this game... Six to ten. Nice one SEC. UCF won their first ever bowl game. I can appreciate that.

What I drank during this game... Tequila shots. Nah just kidding. Water.

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... Catci3 (DC) moves DW out of the lead. 213 points is enough to do it right now. Lo still controls his own destiny if he wins out.

> Bowl Game 22 of 35
Chick-fil-A Bowl - Atlanta, GA - Georgia Dome
December 31, 2010 6:30 PM
#19 South Carolina 17, #23 Florida State 26

What I learned after this game... This was certainly a game for old school haters. Coach Superior vs. Free Shoes University. Truth be told, this was one of my favorite bowl games of the season so far. However, If you had told me that almost the entire game would be played without FSU's Christian Ponder and USC's Marcus Lattimore, then I may not even bothered to tune in.

What I drank during this game... I almost made it a whole day of football without a drop. Then this spread happened. A couple of those are really nice, in case you weren't impressed. And the best part of drinking well is drinking other people's good stuff. Just saying. Cheers to more of that in 2011!

What the Bowl Challenge points look like after this game... Catci3 (DC) was the only one to pick FSU. He ups his points to 222, will stand as the last Bowl Challenge leader is 2010. Lo still controls his own destiny for the 3rd straight bowl game.
